BE KIND TO YOUR FETUSSeeing pregnant women jumping during aerobic exercise or jogging, I often think how the fetus might feel. Imagine this tiny, immature baby suspended by a stalk (cord) from the placenta in a tank of water (amniotic fluid) being shaken and bounced around in all directions during jumping exercises just for the sake of your figure. 1 do not oppose exercising during pregnancy. Walking, swimming, thigh abduction and adduction on a machine, yoga and weight lifting are preferable. The developing fetal brain is very vulnerable to trauma, so please do not shake your baby either before or after delivery. Do not forget that there is a precious creation within you.-Dr. Mary --> return to menu / back ... (click) --> return to top of the page (click) |
